Germans partner with Solarcentury
Capital Stage signs agreement to access developer's 1.1GW PV pipeline
German outfit Capital Stage is to partner with UK developer Solarcentury on its 1.1GW pipeline of solar projects.
The agreement gives the former access to photovoltaic parks in Europe and Mexico over the next three years.
During the €330m first phase, Capital Stage will invest on a fully or majority-owned basis in 363MW of capacity in Europe comprising a 300MW plant in Spain, a 46MW project in the Netherlands and a 17MW facility in France.
The agreement also gives the Hamburg-based company the option to take majority or 100% stakes in up to 700MW of planned capacity in Europe and Mexico.
A further 700MW of solar parks in the UK are also potentially on the table.
Capital Storage chief executive Dierk Paskert said: “The strategic partnership with Solarcentury is an important milestone. It gives us exclusive access to a highly attractive asset pipeline in close cooperation with a veteran solar power developer and operator.”
