Platina offloads UK wind quintet
Five projects totalling 70MW sold to Gravis Capital Management for £52m
Platina Energy Partners has sold five operating wind farms totalling almost 70MW to entities managed by Gravis Capital Management for £52m plus existing debt.
The projects are the 20MW Burton Wold, 14MW Milton Keynes and 6MW Winscales Moor in England, the 15MW Garves in Northern Ireland and the 14MW Pates Hill in Scotland.
They have been operating since between 2006 and 2010.
All the projects benefit from Renewable Obligation Certificates for an average of 12 years, Platina said.
Platina partner Adrien Pinsard said: “This is a portfolio we have developed, constructed and operated over a number of years. We also refinanced some of the assets last year.”
DLA Piper provided legal advice and Augusta & Co financial advice to Platina on the sale.
