Oz wave wins Indian backing
Enzen makes multi-million dollar investment in Bombora Wave Power
Indian renewables developer Enzen has made a multi-million dollar investment in Bombora Wave Power to support the construction of the Australian outfit’s first commercial-scale device.
The funding will provides capital to accelerate testing of the membrane, valve and full-scale turbine and generator of Bombora’s 1.5MW mWave machine.
Enzen Australia chief executive Dileep Viswanath said: “We believe the mWave has the potential to be a robust solution for the large scale generation of clean energy."
Bombora is cooperating with fellow Western Australia (WA) wave developer Carnegie on the Albany Wave Energy Project (AWEP).
Bombora is eying the installation of mWave at the WA government-backed AWEP site following completion by 2020.
