WPD builds French six pack
New wind farms in 2017 bring company's total capacity in France to 347MW
WPD has commissioned six new wind farms in France in 2017, bringing its total installed capacity in the country to 347MW from 25 projects.
The latest projects are the 7MW Mont du Saule wind farm in the Mayenne region comprising three Enercon E92 turbines.
The company also commissioned the 11MW Clussais-la-Pommeraie project in Deux-Sèvres featuring five Vestas V100 turbines, while the 14.1MW Boule Bleue wind farm in the Somme region consists of six Enercon E92 machines.
Five of the same Enercon turbines were added this year to the Carreau Manceau project in the Aisne region, bringing total capacity of the facility to 30MW.
WPD also installed three Vestas V100 units at the Tiper wind farm in Deux-Sèvres, and built the 8MW Tigné project in Maine-et-Loire featuring four Enercon E82 turbines.
