CIP stars for Oz offshore
Danes partner on development of up to 2GW project off coast of Victoria
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is partnering with Australian outfit Offshore Energy on the development of the up to 2GW Star of the South offshore wind farm off the coast of Victoria.
CIP is partnering on the up to 250-turbine project, which will be located some 25km off Gippsland, on behalf of the Copenhagen Infrastructure III fund.
Offshore Energy managing director Andy Evans said: “The partnership brings together local knowledge and proven international experience that we believe will deliver many benefits for Australia, Victoria and local communities.”
CIP senior partner Torsten Lodberg Smed said: “We are very satisfied with this partnership, and look forward to contributing our competence and experience in cooperation with Offshore Energy, all levels of government and key stakeholders in the development of the first offshore wind project in Australia.”
