Good Energy finds storage partner
Origami Energy technology applied to battery solution aimed at business
Renewable energy supplier Good Energy has teamed up with technology company Origami Energy to launch battery storage products aimed at business customers.
The offering would lower the barrier to entry for businesses in the UK wishing to install storage facilities, Good Energy said.
The first commercial customer to have signed up to the solution is educational charity and visitor attraction the Eden Project (pictured), which will have a 250kW battery installed in summer 2018.
“Battery storage is crucial to the development of the renewable energy market,” Good Energy director of business services Randall Bowen said.
“The launch of our battery storage proposition reinforces our place as a catalyst for change in the industry."
