Senvion has won turbine supply contracts totalling 27MW for two wind farms in Ireland.
The German manufacturer will deliver two 3.2M114 machines for NTR’s Rathnacally project near Charleville in Cork in the first half of 2018.
Rathnacally is scheduled to be operational later that year.
Senvion will also supply 10 turbines for Galetech Energy’s Carrickallen wind farm in Cavan.
The hardware will be a mixture of models, including two MM82 turbines with 59-metre hub heights, seven MM92 machines with 74.5-metre hub heights and one MM92 unit with a hub height of 64 metres.
Delivery will start in early summer next year with completion expected at the end of 2018.
Senvion chief sales officer David Hardy said: “These contracts clearly demonstrate market confidence in our wind turbine fit and our partnership capabilities with both existing and new customers. We look forward to further building on this success.”
