MRE to provide temporary power, personnel and a multi-purpose vessel
Manor Renewable Energy (MRE) has won a contract with GE Renewable Energy to supply temporary power, personnel and a multi-purpose vessel for the 396MW Merkur offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
MRE will provide temporary power pods with a 2000-litre integrated fuel tank.
MRE director Toby Mead said: “The German market is key for MRE and Merkur is now our sixth project in the last three years and we are hugely excited to be working with a new client in GE Renewable Energy.”
Merkur will consist of 66 GE Haliade 150 6MW turbines slated for commissioning in 2019.
