Semcon revamps Swedish hydro
Link up with Fortum for €2m upgrade of plants at Kallsjön
Technology company Semcon has linked up with energy company Fortum for the refurbishment of hydropower stations at Kallsjön in Sweden.
During the Skr 20m (€2m) upgrade, Semcon will be responsible for the electrical design, documentation, delivery, assembly, testing and commissioning of new switchgear and excitation equipment.
Construction will begin soon and is expected to be completed in about two years.
Semcon president and chief executive Markus Granlund said: “We have carried out projects with Fortum for many years now.
“It feels very good that they continue to have confidence in us as a partner and have entrusted us with this refurbishment.”
