2020 green light at Whitelaw
14-turbine wind farm will include 4MW battery storage element
2020 Renewables has been granted planning permission for the 14-turbine Whitelaw Brae wind farm in the Scottish Borders.
The developer, now part of Forsa, secured permission for an around 50MW project and an additional 4MW of battery storage.
Turbines will be up to 133.5 metres and located some 3km south of Tweedsmuir.
Scottish Borders Council objected to the plans, prompting a public inquiry which was held last year.
