Vestas has secured a turbine order totalling 40MW from Atria Brindavan Power for the final phase of the 120MW Basavane Bagewadi wind farm in Karnataka, India.

The deal covers supply and installation of 18 V110-2.0MW turbines optimised to 2.2MW.

Commissioning is expected to start in the second quarter of 2018.

It also includes a 15-year full-scope active output management 5000 service agreement as well as a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution.

The Danish manufacturer agreed two similar orders with Atria Brindavan Power for V110-2.2MW machines in September and November.

Vestas Asia Pacific president Clive Turton said: “Atria has placed three orders in under three months, which demonstrates how Vestas’ reliable and competitive technology along with our customised service solutions offer a strong business case for our customers in this key market.”
