UK-based Specialist Marine Consultants is supplying inspection technicians to Dutch contractor Seaway Heavy Lifting during foundation installation at SSE's 588MW Beatrice wind farm off Scotland.
The workers are undertaking switchgear checks inside foundation transition pieces "to ensure optimum performance and longevity", the Yorkshire company said.
SHL, which is the project balance of plant contractor, has meanwhile completed installation of a third of the project's 84 jackets in the Moray Firth.
The wind farm will feature Siemens Gamesa 7MW turbines and is due to be fully operational in 2019.
