Vestas has appointed Eduardo Medina as president of its Mediterranean sales business unit, replacing Marco Graziano who has left the company by mutual agreement.

Medina was previously executive vice president of global power plants at SunPower and also worked for Acciona Energy and GE.

He will be based in Madrid and will take up the position on 2 January.

Vestas chief sales officer Juan Araluce said: “The Mediterranean region covers a vast number of strategic markets in Southern Europe, Latin America and Africa and Eduardo is, with his extensive experience from a diverse set of companies within renewables, the right person to take our Mediterranean region to the next level and continue our growth in mature and emerging markets.”
