Deepwater probes Skipjack seabed
Survey campaign underway until November at site of 120MW project
Deepwater Wind has started a seabed survey campaign at the site of the 120MW Skipjack offshore wind farm off the US east coast.
The results of the work will help inform the final design and layout of the project, which will be located in waters off Delaware but will deliver electricity into neighbouring Maryland.
Geophysical surveys started on 26 July by the Samantha Miller vessel. It will be joined later this month by the Danielle Miller, which will also carry out geophysical work.
The Seacor Supporter liftboat will carry out geotechnical surveys later in the summer, according to a notice to mariners.
Survey work will run until November.
