Fuhrlaender axes 122 staff
Insolvent German wind turbine maker agrees exit scheme
Insolvent German wind turbine maker Fuhrlaender is to axe 122 of its 302 staff.
The company said the management and works council had agreed on a scheme that gives employees the chance to receive professional reorientation and get 80% of their last net salary for six months.
Fuhrlaender filed for insolvency under its own administration in September. The move allowed existing management to stay at the helm instead of being replaced by an insolvency administrator.
The outfit, founded by Joachim Fuhrländer, will present an insolvency plan in the New Year.
