Nordex inks SKF components deal
Global supply agreement bolsters existing tie-up with Swedish outfit
Turbine manufacturer Nordex has signed a global component supply deal with Swedish multinational engineering group SKF.
SKF will deliver main shaft bearings and lubrication systems under the agreement, which strengthens an existing partnership between the two companies.
Nordex chief procurement officer Lars Rytter said SKF's global footprint fitted perfectly with Nordex’s requirements for long-term tie-ups.
"We really appreciate SKF’s experience and its engineering and simulation capabilities in the field of these crucial components of the Nordex wind turbines," he said.
SKF industrial market and strategic industries president Henrik Lange said the deal would lead to further advances in supply chain efficiency.
“We are pleased to extend our partnership with Nordex with the signing of the global agreement, further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two companies," he said.
