Modern Energy Management has been hired by an unnamed investor to develop a 130MW solar farm in Myanmar.
The project is expected to come online in the fourth quarter of next year.
Modern Energy Management is sharing some of the facility's development risk with the investor as part of the deal, it said.
The solar farm will contribute to Myanmar's plans to generate 2% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2020 and 9% by 2030.
Myanmar currently has no operating wind or solar plants.
Modern Energy Management director Aaron Daniels said: “Modern Energy is uniquely suited to partner with our clients like this.
“We are the only renewable energy advisory firm with real experience successfully developing, building and operating wind and solar projects in the ASEAN region. And we have direct relevant renewable energy development experience in Myanmar.”
