GE will start installation work shortly on the 66th and last Haliade 150-6MW turbine at the 396MW Merkur Offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
Jack-up vessel Seafox 5 installed the first turbine in March at the construction site some 45km north of the island of Borkum.
In June, GE reached the installation halfway mark and exported first power to a mini-grid.
Merkur is connected to the grid via the 900MW Dolwin Gamma grid hub.
The wind farm is expected to be fully commissioned in the first quarter of 2019.
