Enercon exports first E-115s
Two machines to be installed at wind project in Netherlands
German manufacturer Enercon has begun exporting its E-115 wind turbines with two 3MW machines delivered for installation at a project at Lelystad in the Netherlands.
The machines will sit on precast concrete towers with 135-metre hub heights and the work will be completed in the fourth quarter. Enercon began series production of the E-115 mid-year.
"The market has been positive," said Enercon sales manager Stefan Luetkemeyer. "The new system was well received by our customers. Following the planned completion of the first domestic projects now gradually starts the E-115 structure in our international markets. "
The E-115 prototype (pictured) was set up in late December at Lengerich in Emsland, Lower Saxony, where a measurement campaign for the certification of the series is underway.
