RES is holding a public exhibition on plans for the 1.5MW single-turbine Mere Farm wind project in Huntingdonshire, England.

The machine is proposed on land north of Ramsey Forty Foot and east of Ramsey Mereside in the county with a tip height of 125 metres.

Project manager Rebecca Meek said: “We believe Mere Farm will make a valuable contribution to the UK’s energy needs and we look forward to discussing the benefits of the proposal with local people at the public exhibition.

“We believe that the views of local people are an integral part of the development process which in turn can influence the proposal.”

The event takes place on 22 September at Ramsey Forty Foot Village Hall in Ramsey. Members of the RES project team will be on hand to discuss the proposal and answer questions.

The developer said comments will be taken into account when preparing the planning application, which it expects to submit to Huntingdonshire District Council later this year.
