German developer PNE Wind has completed and handed over to Allianz the 15.4MW Calau II D wind farm in Brandenburg.
The project comprises five V112-3.0 MW turbines and has the same nominal output of the Calau II C wind farm, which was also completed and sold to Allianz earlier this year.
PNE Wind continues to be responsible for the technical and commercial management of the wind farms.
In total, the Calau II wind farm comprises 15 wind turbines and has approximately 46MW of total nominal capacity.
It was constructed in three construction phases over a 12 month period.
PNE has a further three wind projects made up of 10 turbines with nominal capacity of 28.6MW ordered.
It said construction preparations are underway.
PNE Wind chief executive officer Martin Billhardt said: “The continuation of the cooperation with Allianz is very pleasing and this satisfaction can also be extended to all who were responsible for the speedy realization of the wind farm.”
Allianz head of renewable energy David Jones said: "We are delighted to acquire the final stage of the Calau wind park from PNE Wind Group and to expand our portfolio in Germany which is one of our core markets.”
