Yingli scores 120MW in France
Supply deal at 300MW PV project by Neoen, deliveries to wrap up June 2015
China-based Yingli Green Energy is to supply 120MW of PV panels at a 300MW solar project by Neoen in France.
Upon completion, the facility at Cestas in the south-west of the country will be the largest solar facility in Europe.
Yingli will ship more than 393,000 panels to the 250-hectare project site with deliveries starting next month and wrapping up in June 2015. The plant is expected to be connected to the grid in October 2015.
Neoen and the project's other investors have signed a consortium of local companies including Eiffage-Clemessy and Schneider Electric for engineering and construction.
"We are confident that our decision to work with Yingli will help us to meet the challenging project programme," said Eiffage-Clemessy project director Patrick de Labrusse.
Yingli chief executive Liansheng Miao added: "We are honored to be part of this milestone project in the European PV market.”
