Vestas lands 42MW Italian job
Deal with BayWa subsidiary to supply turbines at Lacedonia wind farm
Danish manufacturer Vestas is to supply hardware at the 41.7MW Lacedonia wind farm in south-west Italy.
The deal with Alisea SRL, a subsidiary of Germany-based BayWa, covers six V110 2MW turbines (pictured) and nine V126 3.3MW machines.
In addition to installation and commissioning at the project site in the Campania region, south-western Italy the agreement takes in a 10-year service package.
Deliveries are expected in the third quarter of 2015 with commissioning by the fourth quarter.
“This new order consolidates this market as a destination for the latest technological developments,” said Vestas president for the Mediterranean Marco Graziano.
