TÜV helps clear Senvion buy-up
Rheinland carried out technical due diligence for Centerbridge
TÜV Rheinland has revealed it carried out technical due diligence for Centerbridge Partners ahead of its acquisition of German wind turbine manufacturer Senvion.
The US investor agreed a €1bn deal with Indian giant Suzlon in January and TÜV Rheinland said its scope of work was completed within a month.
Technical due diligence includes the evaluation of products, plans and future prospects in terms of technological aspects.
TÜV Rheinland added that the service it offers “examines the effects of quality management, measures risk and reliability and evaluates production facilities at various locations”.
Senvion manufactures onshore and offshore wind turbines with capacities ranging from 1.8MW up to 6.15MW and rotor diameters of between 82 and 152 meters.
The company has more than 3400 employees worldwide and has installed more than 5800 machines.
