All OK for EGP at Osage wind farm
Company operates Chisholm View, Rocky Ridge and Origin wind farms
Enel Green Power has completed and connected the Osage Wind project in Osage County, Oklahoma to the grid through its subsidiary Enel Green Power North America.
The wind farm has a total installed capacity of 150MW and is able to generate more than 620GWh a year, equivalent to the annual energy consumption needs of more than 53,000 U.S. households. It is 50% owned by EGP-NA.
EGP-NA already operates the 235MW Chisholm View wind farm, the 150MW Rocky Ridge wind farm and the 150MW Origin wind farm. The company also has two additional wind projects currently under construction in Oklahoma for a total additional capacity of 274MW. These are expected to be online by the end of 2015.
Globally, EGP has an installed capacity of more than 9800MW from a mix of sources including wind, solar, hydropower, geothermal and biomass with around 740 plants operating in 15 countries.
