OMM puts Sandbank to rest
Company completes mattressing work at 288MW project
Offshore Marine Management has completed a mattressing from the 288MW Sandbank offshore windfarm to the converter station SylWin Alpha in the German North Sea.
The contract was awarded in June 2015 and required the firm to install mattresses at all cable crossings along the 70km route.
The company was able to start work on the project within 30 days of the contract award.
OMM technical manager Jonathan Everest, who managed the project, said: “Our team efficiently developed project specific technical procedures and QHSE documentation to meet the client’s high standards for conducting the work.
This is one of a number of mattressing projects completed by OMM so far this year.
The firm most recently delivered mattress installation work for another client which saw it using its new muli-mattress deployment tool, the MDS3.
